Bread Butter Jam Pudding

We all often cherish some of our favourite irresistible childhood eateries. For me, it was this homemade ‘ BREAD BUTTER JAM PUDDING ‘  .. Now, you can have them too 😀


Ingredients
: ( for  Bread Butter Jam Pudding )

12  – white bread slices ( edges trimmed )
Butter – as needed ( 1 tsp per slice )
Strawberry Jam – as needed ( or any jam )
2 Tbsp – raisin / sultanas ( dark or golden )

For the milk-mixture:
1 cup – milk ( thick milk / full fat )
500 ml – cream
1/3 cup – sugar
1/4 tsp – vanilla bean paste ( or 1 tsp vanilla extract )

Method:


Step 1)
Get ready with all the ingredients..

Step 2) Preheat the Oven to 200 C / 400 F. (You will also need a glass baking dish) ..

Step 3) Make milk-mixture: Into a bowl, pour the milk, cream, sugar, vanilla and stir.


Step 4)
Pour little milk-mixture into the baking dish to coat the bottom..

Step 5) Spread a tsp of butter on a bread slice and arrange ( butter-side facing up ) on the glass dish.

Step 6) Pour half of milk-mixture evenly over the bread ( tilt the glass dish to coat evenly ) ..

Step 7) Spread a tsp of butter and jam on a bread slice and arrange ( jam-side facing down) on the glass dish.

Step 8) Cut into squares ..

Step 9) Pour the remaining milk-mixture over the bread slices ..

Step 10) Place a raisin in the centre of the squares ..

Step 11) Bake at 200 C / 400 F until the top turns golden brown .. ( takes 10 – 15 minutes ..)

 Your Bread Butter Jam pudding is READY ! ..




Eat when warm for a melt-in-mouth-moment ! … You can make this for a delicious breakfast or as a warm winter-evening comfort snack ! .. mmm.. YUMMy ! 😀
